Ingredients


To Be Mixed Together For The Filling:
3 tbsp chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1 onion , finely chopped
some grated processed cheese
2 green chillies , finely chopped

Other Ingredients
3 cups chana dal (split bengal gram) , soaked
5 bread slices , crumbled
2 tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the dal with ginger-garlic paste and salt, mix well, add enough water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  2. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  3. Mash the dal and add the bread crumbs, chilli powder, dry mnago powder, garam masala and maida and mix well.
  4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and make small balls out of it.
  5. Flatted each ball and place a portion of the filling in between, cover and flatten so as to seal tightly.
  6. Roll the rolls in little plain flour and keep aside.
  7. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry each ball they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  8. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve immediately.
