Thick Dhal Kootu recipe - How to make Thick Dhal Kootu
- Use only channa dhal-boil with a pinch of turmeric pwd. (do not add green chillies/garlic/tomatoes etc.,);
- When dhal is boiled strain away the water, mash the dhal & keep aside.
- Season with mustard seeds, curry leaves; dry chillies; & asafetida, salt to taste.
