Ingredients

24 dates (khajur) , deseeded
1 1/2 cups melted white chocolate
1 1/2 cups melted dark chocolate

For The Stuffing
1/4 cup finely chopped tutti-frutti
1/4 cup finely chopped cherries
1/4 cup finely chopped white and dark raisins (kismis)
1/2 cup caramelised sugar
1/4 cup alcohol (brandy , rum)

For the stuffing

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bow; mix well and soak for 8 to 10 hours. Keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Fill each date with the stuffing and keep aside.
  2. Dip 12 dates in melted white chocolate and the remaining 12 in melted dark chocolate.
  3. Place the chocolate covered dates on a sheet of butter paper and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Store in a cool dry place.

Tried this out with brown sugar and had no patience to wait for 8-10 hours so to the stuffing I also added desicated coconut and filled in the dry stuffing itself moreover there was some moisture of brown sugar so I mixed cherries, tutti fruity and desicated coconut and filled in the dates and my children had good time in the vacation.

Very innovative idea, too yummy and tasty desert.I tried this with mix fruit juice instead of alcohol and dip the dates in white chocolate first and then in dark chocolate, hence it gave three layer and lookwise also it was very attractive.
