Tweet Recipe Description for Bhakhri Pizza ( Gluten Free Recipe) Preparation Time: 15 minsCooking Time: 30 mins Makes 6 pizzas Show me for pizzas Ingredients For The Dough1/2 cup bajra (black millet) flour1/2 cup jowar (white millet) flour2 tsp oil salt to tasteFor Pizza Sauce (makes 1 Cup)6 large tomatoes1 tbsp olive oil1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)1/2 cup finely chopped onions1/2 tsp dried oregano1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)2 tbsp tomato ketchup1 tsp chilli powder salt to taste1/2 tsp sugarOther Ingredients For Bhakhri Pizza9 tbsp grated processed cheese or low fat paneer (cottage cheese) Method For the doughCombine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a firm dough using enough water.Cover with a lid and keep aside for 10 minutes.For pizza sauceTo make {span class="bold1"}pizza sauce{/span}, make criss-cross on the base of the tomatoes and place them in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes or till the skin begins to peel.Drain the tomatoes, cool slightly, peel, deseed and roughly chop them and blend in a mixer to a smooth pulp. Keep aside.Heat the olive oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.Add the prepared tomato pulp, oregano, chilli flakes, tomato ketchup, chilli powder and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.Add the sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.Store the {span class="bold1"}pizza sauce{/span} in an air- tight container and use as required.How to proceedTo make {span class="bold1"}bhakhri pizza{/span}, divide the dough into 6 equal portions.Roll out a portion into a 75 mm. (3") using a rolling board and rolling pin.Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook it on a slow flame till pink spots appear on both the sides.Continue cooking the bhakhri on a slow flame, while pressing with a khakhra press or folded muslin cloth till it turns crisp and golden brown in colour from both the sides.While on the tava (griddle), spread 1 tbsp of the pizza sauce and top with 1½ tbsp of cheese evenly over it. Cover it with a lid and cook on a slow flame for 3 to 5 minutes.Repeat steps 2 to 5 to make 5 more {span class="bold1"}bhakhri pizzas{/span}.Cool the {span class="bold1"}bhakhri pizza{/span} slightly and serve immediately.
