How to make Date Walnut Cake-
For making the date walnut cake (eggless date walnut cake), first pre-heat the oven to 180°C (360°F). Using a pastry brush, generously butter a bread loaf tin of 200 mm. (8”) or regular cake pan wich is lined with a baking paper and keep aside.

In a deep bowl, take instant coffee powder.

Add 1 tbsp of hot water. If you have a coffee press, then you can even make use of an espresso shot.

Mix well and keep aside. You can make the cake with just walnuts and dates but, the coffee enhances the taste greatly.

In another bowl, take the sliced dates. You can use any varieties of dates just ensure they are pitted.

Add 1 cup of hot water.

Cover with a lid and keep aside to soak for 30 minutes.

After half an hour it will look like this. The dates will soften which will provide a moistness to the date and walnut cake.

Drain the dates and keep aside.

In another bowl, take the soft butter.

Pour the condense milk. Since, this is an eggless cake recipe we are using condense milk that will help us achieve an ideal texture.

Pour the batter into the greased bread loaf tin and tap it lightly.
