What is low calorie green chutney made off? low calorie green chutney is made from 2 tbsp roasted chana dal (daria), 1 1/2 cups chopped coriander (dhania), 1/2 tbsp roughly chopped green chillies, 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera), 1 tbsp low fat curds (dahi), 1/2 tbsp lemon juice and salt to taste.
How to make low calorie green chutney:-
To make low calorie green chutney | low cal hari chutney | low cal coriander chutney | diabetic green chutney | in a small non-stick pan, take chana dal.

Roast it for 2 minutes or till they turn light brown and toasted. Keep aside.

For making the low calorie green chutney, take one fresh bunch of coriander

Separate the leaves and the stems. We are only going to use the leaves and the soft stems.

Rinse the coriander leaves in water to remove any dirt that might be stuck to them.

Roughly chop the leaves for the green chutney. We need to use 1½ cups of chopped coriander leaves.

Place them in the mixer jar.

Add the roasted daria.

Add the green chillies. Adjust the quantity as per the spice level you can handle.

Add the cumin seeds.

Add the low-fat curd. If you wish you can omit this step. We have used homemade low-fat curd made using this detailed recipe of homemade low-fat curd.

Add the lemon juice. It not only provides a tangy flavour but also helps in preventing the hari chutney from losing it’s bright green colour.

Add the salt.

Add approx. 3 tbsp of water.
