Ingredients

1 cup water
2 tbsp butter or margarine , softened
1 egg
2 cups plain flour (maida)
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp yeast
melted butter for cooking
oil for greasing

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients except the melted butter in a bowl and knead a soft dough.
  2. Remove dough from bowl, using lightly floured hands; place on lightly floured surface.
  3. Cover the dough with muslin cloth and rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Grease the bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with oil.
  5. Divide the dough into 15 equal portions.
  6. Shape each portion into a ball; place in a greased pan. Brush each dough balls with melted butter.
  7. Cover the pan loosely with plastic wrap and keep aside in warm place about 30 minutes or until double in size.
  8. Bake the buns in pre-heated oven at 360 degree Celsius for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, or cool on cooling rack.
  10. Give these rolls a deep golden glow by brushing immediately the tops with melted butter, when they are removed from the oven.
