Here again, the duo feature in all their glory, giving you an aromatic and aesthetically flavoured jam, which can be enjoyed with a buttery toast, plain bread or even roti! This jam can be stored at room temperature for 5 or 7 days, and for 15 days in the fridge.

Ingredients

2 cups chopped apples (unpeeled)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients along with 2 cups of water in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 20 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  2. Mash it lightly and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  3. Cool completely and store in an air-tight container. Use as required.

Wonderful recipe. It turned out so yummy. Also how can we store for longer period? Which preservative we can add and in how much quantity?

   Hi. you can add sodium benzoate, just a pinch is enough for this quantity. But make sure you add it once it has cooled down completely..

Loved this recipe. It turned out very yummy, especially the cinnamon taste. Just one query, the peels did not get mashed completely. Is using a blender to mash peels advisable?? Please advice!!

   Hi, Yes you can use the blender if you wish for a smooth texture.. Blend it once it is slighly warm..

This recipe was just SUPERB. It couldn’t be better. The cinnamon flavour added to it was giving the flavour of Apple Pie. Too good.....!!! Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this jam recipe. I like the simplicity of the recipe and the ingredients used are easy to find. Apple and spices such as cinnamon blend so well together. A great way to use spare apples and also creates more diverse uses for them.

Apple jam.. wow.. i love this jam.. recipe.. it has got a mild cinnamon flavour.. which gives a nice taste in every bite.. goes well on toasted buttered breads.. Thank you.. for sharing this recipe..
