Lemon Cake recipe - How to make Lemon Cake

Preparation Time:    Baking Time:  40 to 45 minutes   Baking Temperature:  180°C (360°F)   Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 servings

  1. Combine the plain flour, baking soda, baking powder in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  2. Combine the curds, powdered sugar, lemon rind, lemon juice and oil in a deep bowl, mix well using a whisk.
  3. Add the plain flour mixture and mix well using a spatula.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased aluminium 175 mm. (8”) tin and bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180°c ( 360°f ) for 35 to 40 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly, loosen the sides with the help of a knife and demould it.
  6. Cut the cake into wedges.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an air-tight container.

This eggless lemon cake is a fabulous recipe. I loved this cake mainly because of it''s lemon flavour. It is very different from the regular vanilla or chocolate cakes that we have. It has a very subtle flavour of lemon which is just perfect.
