Recipe Description for Chocolate Chip Cookies Using Eggs

Preparation Time: 
Baking Time:  45 to 50 minutes
Baking Temperature:  180° C ( 360 °F)

Ingredients

1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup castor sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
a pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts (akhrot)

Method
  1. Combine the baking soda with 1 tsp of hot water in a small bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  2. Combine the butter, castor sugar and brown sugar in a deep bowl and mix well using a spatula.
  3. Add the egg and beat it with an electric beater for 1 minute.
  4. Add the vanilla essence, prepared baking soda- water mixture and salt and mix well with help of a spatula.
  5. Add the plain flour gradually and mix well.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and mix well.
  7. With help of an ice-cream scooper, scoop the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking tray at regular intervals and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 40 to 45 minutes.
  8. Cool on a wire rack and store in an air-tight container.
