Ingredients

10 leftover idlis , cut into long strips
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into A Curd Dip
1 1/4 cups whisked thick curds (dahi)
1/2 cup grated carrot
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
2 tbsp finely chopped capsicum
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
2 tbsp fresh cream
2 tbsp grated processed cheese
2 tbsp milk
salt to taste

  1. Heat the oil in a deep kadhai and deep-fry the idli strips, a few at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  2. Serve immediately with curd dip.

This starter is a great recipe for parties and also best way to use leftover idlis, the dip with this is just sooo creamy though it is made with curds.
