Ingredients


For Grilled Corn Toast
1/2 cup cooked sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
4 bread slices
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped green capsicum
1/4 cup crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
1/4 cup deseeded and chopped tomatoes
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
2 tbsp milk
1/4 cup grated processed cheese
1/2 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder
salt to taste

For Serving With Grilled Corn Toast
1 tsp tabasco sauce

Method
  1. To make {span class="bold1"}grilled corn toast{/span}, heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  2. Add the sweet corn kernels, capsicum and paneer and sauté on a medium flame for another 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the tomatoes, green chillies, milk, cheese, mustard powder and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  4. Divide the topping into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
  5. Grill the bread slices in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 4 to 5 minutes or till the bread turns crisp from the top.
  6. Place the grilled bread slices on a flat dry surface with the crisp side facing downwards and apply a portion of the topping evenly over it.
  7. Grill in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for another 4 to 5 minutes.
  8. Serve the {span class="bold1"}grilled corn toast{/span} hot topped with tabasco sauce.
