  1. What is khus ka sharbat made off? khus ka sharbat is made from 4 simple ingredients which are 6 tbsp khus syrup, 6 tsp kewra water, 6 tsp lemon juice, 6 tsp soaked falooda seeds (subza) and chilled water.

  1. This is what falooda seeds (Sabza seeds, Subja, Basil seeds) looks like.  The falooda seeds are basically basil seeds which are added to falooda drink or ice creams. 
  2. Clean the falooda seeds and remove dirt if any. Put the falooda seeds in a deep glass bowl. A bigger bowl is better as the seeds will swell up. 
  3. Add enough water to falooda seeds. Take 3 teaspoons falooda seeds to get 6 teaspoons soaked falooda seeds. 
  4. Make sure you stir the falooda seeds, else the seeds will rise to the top. The falooda seeds are basically basil seeds which are added to falooda drink or ice creams. The Falooda Seeds are optional since they don't really have a flavor, but they do add to the authentic look. 
  5. Cover and soak for 30 to 45 minutes. 
  6. This is what falooda seeds (Sabza seeds, Subja, Basil seeds) looks like after soaking.  If there is excess water, drain it using a strainer. But ensure to not keep in the strainer for too long, else they might lose water and turn dry. 
  7. Is falooda seeds expensive and difficult to buy? Sabja is cheap and easily available at any Indian kirana and costs Rs 50 for 100 grams.
