what is oats moong toast made off?-
what is oats moong toast made off ? oats moong toast is made from 1/2 cup green moong dal (split green gram) , soaked and drained, 1 1/2 cups roughly chopped coriander (dhania), 1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats, 1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies, 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 pinches sugar and salt to taste. Other Ingredients 8 whole wheat bread slices and 1 1/2 tsp olive oil for brushing and cooking. See below image of list of ingredients for oats moong toast.
green moong dal-
This is what green moog dal looks like.

Wash the green moong dal in water.

Cover and soak for 2 hours.

The dal has almost doubled in size after soaking.

Drain the water.

Keep aside. Your soaked and drained green moong dal is ready.
topping for oats moong toast-
In a mixer put 1/2 cup green moong dal (split green gram) , soaked and drained.

Add 1 1/2 cups roughly chopped coriander (dhania).

Add 1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats.

Add 1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies.
-
Add 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice.
-
Add 1/2 tsp baking powder.
-
Add 2 pinches sugar.
-
Add salt to taste. We added 3/4 tsp salt.

Add ½ cup of water.
-
Blend to a smooth paste.
-
Transfer the paste into a bowl.
making oats moong toast-
Brush 1/8 tsp of oil on one side of each bread slice.

Flip over the brsuhed bread slice.
-
Spread a portion of the topping evenly over it.
-
Heat a non stick pan. Brush the pan with little oil.

Place each open sandwich on a non-stick tava (griddle) with the prepared topping side facing downwards.

Cook till the topping turns golden brown in colour and flip over.

Cook on the other side till it turns golden brown in colour. Flip over.

Cut each toast into 4 equal triangles.

Serve immediately.

You can use brown bread to make the toast or any healthy bread.

When the topping is being cooked on the tava, press down gently all over with a spatula to get uniform cooking.

Always use a plastic spatula to flip this toast as the topping will not stick to it. If you use a wooden spatula your topping may stick to it.
