Probably, the most popular way to use tahini is to make hummus, but it is also used to make other Lebanese dips like the baba ganoush.

You can also use tahini paste as a salad dressing, dip or spread. It tastes delicious with crudités (like carrot or cucumber ) or spread onto a slice of toasted bread. You can even make a tahini dip and spread it on rolls and make delightful recipes like the Spinach Tahini Wraps.
Method for Tahini Paste-
To begin making the tahini paste, clean the sesame seeds and remove any stone or debris.

For making the Lebanese tahini paste at home, firstly take a small broad non-stick pan & add the sesame seeds.

Dry roast on a slow flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till fragrant. Alternatively, you can place the sesame seeds on a baking sheet and toast it in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Toasting the sesame seeds gives the tahini a nuttier flavor.

Don’t forget to stir the seeds frequently so they get evenly toasted. Do not allow the sesame seeds to turn brown. They should be light golden in colour after roasting.

Remove from the flame, transfer to a plate and keep aside to cool completely.

Transfer the sesame seeds to a mixer jar.

Blend till it is almost smooth.
