Almonds contain a lot of healthy fats, fibre, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. It helps lower blood sugar levels, reduces blood pressure and keeps cholesterol under check. You will be pleasantly surprised to know that the Almond Bhakri is also good for weight-loss, as almonds and ghee have perfect fats that keep you full for longer.

Ingredients

1 cup almonds (badam) , soaked for 1 hour in hot and drained
2 tsp ghee
salt to taste
ghee for greasing and cooking

Method
    Method
  1. Peel the almonds.
  2. Blend the almonds in a mixer to a smooth mixture without using any water.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl, add the ghee and salt and mix well to make a dough without using any water.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
  5. Grease the rolling board with ghee, put a portion of the dough and pat it to make a 100 mm. (4”) dimeter circle without using any flour.
  6. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the bhakri using ghee till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to make 5 more bhakris.
  8. Serve hot.

Hi, a quick question. The macros claim 1.8g carbs and 2g fiber per bhakri. So negative net carbs? How''s that possible. 1/4 cup soaked almonds have 6g carbs & 3g fiber giving 3g net carbs. Can you please clarify? Am on a very specific macro diet & need exact numbers. Thanks

Hi, love this recipe. I just had a question about the nutrition facts. It says total carbs per bhakri is 1.8g & fiber is 2g. How is that possible? Negative e net carbs? Is it 2g or 0.2g fiber? Soaked almonds 1/4cup has 6g carbs & 3g fiber, so 3g net carbs..can you please clarify. I''m on a very specific low carb diet and need the macros to be exact. Thanks
