Re-discover the joy of traditional tea-time snacks with these scrumptious Bajra Dhebras.

This is a famous Gujarati deep-fried snack made with a dough of bajra and whole wheat flour flavoured deliciously with spice powders, green chillies, ginger and garlic.

Curds and jaggery help to keep the dough together while also lending the dhebras a delectable taste and crispness. You can serve it immediately, or cool and store in an airtight container for a day or two at the most.

You can also try other interesting snacks like Bajra Onion Muthia or Methi Makai Dhebra .

Hi Nazera, We have not tried baking it but alternatively, you can place it on a hot tava (griddle). Cook them on a medium flame using ½ tsp of oil, till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.

Hi Jigna, You can combine jowar and besan flour. Curd helps in binding everything together, we would suggest you do not alter it.
