    Method
  1. Combine the plain flour, custard powder and baking powder in a strainer and sieve it to make a plain flour-custard powder mixture. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the butter and sugar in a deep bowl and cream it gently using a spatula.
  3. Add the tutti frutti, rose essence and cashewnuts and mix well.
  4. Add the plain flour-custard powder mix and knead into a soft dough using milk.
  5. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll each portion of the dough into 150 mm (6”) in length and 50 mm. (2”) diameter cylindrical roll and wrap them in cling wrap.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Cut each cylindrical roll into10 small rounds of approx. 50 mm. (2”) in diameter with the help of a sharp knife.
  8. Arrange the biscuits on a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 30 minutes.
  9. Cool completely and store in an air tight container. Use as required.

i tried this recipe my biscuuts were hard from outer not properly baked from inside

   Hi Urvashi, This is a tried and tested recipe.Check the baking temperature the next time you bake it. Also, make sure your oven is pre-heated well.

mam y do v need to refrigerate d dough in all biscuits?? n y d temp n time of each biscuit recipie is different??

   Hi, Each recipe has diff ingredients and textures hence the timings and baking temp are different... Some require the dough to be put in fridge...some dont...

   Hi Varun, Keep the dough in the lower shelf of the fridge.. to chill it.

These are my favorite biscuits and thanks you for sharing the recipe, they came out exactly similar to the in taste, appearance and flavour of the original ones... I am enjoying them at tea time and i dont have to worry about even if they finish I can just bake them.....
