For Sesame Paneer
2 cups thick paneer (cottage cheese) strips
sesame seeds (til) for rolling
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into Slurry Using 5 Tbsp Water
1/4 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup cornflour
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt and to taste

  1. To make sesame paneer, dip each paneer strip in the prepared batter and roll in the sesame seeds till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few paneer slices at a time, on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  3. Serve sesame paneer immediately with schezwan sauce.

A very simple recipe..I made it as a starter when guests came over for dinner..If you like the taste of sesame seeds definitely give this a try..And schezuan sauce made it taste even better..
