Ingredients


For Sesame Paneer
2 cups thick paneer (cottage cheese) strips
sesame seeds (til) for rolling
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into Slurry Using 5 Tbsp Water
1/4 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup cornflour
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt and to taste

For Serving
schezwan sauce

Method

For sesame paneer

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}sesame paneer{/span}, dip each paneer strip in the prepared batter and roll in the sesame seeds till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few paneer slices at a time, on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  3. Serve {span class="bold1"}sesame paneer{/span} immediately with schezwan sauce.
