For corn and cheese toast

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}corn and cheese toast{/span}, heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Add the plain flour and cook on a medium flame for few seconds.
  3. Add the milk and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the sauce thickens, while stirring continuously.
  4. Add the capsicum mixed herbs, cheese and chilli flakes, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the mustard powder, corn and salt and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  6. Divide the corn and cheese topping into 8 equal portions.
  7. Spread a portion of the topping evenly on each toasted bread halve.
  8. Serve the {span class="bold1"}corn and cheese toast{/span} immediately garnished with chilli flakes and coloured capsicum.
