Ingredients


For Instant Ragi Rava Dosa
1/2 cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour
1/2 cup semolina (rava / sooji)
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
2 tbsp fresh curd (dahi)
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tbsp chopped curry leaves (kadi patta)
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
3 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt and to taste
16 tsp oil for cooking

Method
For instant ragi rava dosa

  1. To make instant ragi rava dosa, in a deep bowl, combine all the ingredients and make a thin consistency batter using approx. 3 cups of water.
  2. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle), grease it using oil and sprinkle a little water on it. It should sizzle immediately. Wipe it with a muslin cloth.
  3. Once the tava is greased properly, pour the batter using a ladle from the edges to the centre in a circular motion to make a round dosa.
  4. Put 2 tsp oil evenly over the dosa and cook the dosa on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes or till crisp.
  5. Flip the dosa and cook on medium flame for a minute till crispy.
  6. Fold it into a semi-circle and remove in a serving plate.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 7 more dosas.
  8. Serve instant ragi rava dosa hot with coconut chutney and sambhar.
