Served in a transparent glass, this Layered Strawberry Sundae is so attractive, you will be tempted to skip the Main Course and go straight for it! The best part is that it can be prepared in minutes. A crust of crushed Marie biscuits is topped with tangy strawberries, cream and wobbly jelly! The choice of ingredients is such that this dessert offers you a variety of textures and flavours in one cupful. Arrange the Sundae just before serving so that the chilled base retains its crispness.




Recipe Description for Layered Strawberry Sundae

Ingredients


For The Crust
1/2 cup coarsely crushed marie biscuits
4 tbsp melted butter
2 tsp sugar

Other Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
1 cup beaten whipped cream
1/2 cup strawberry jelly cubes

Method

For the crust

  1. Combine the biscuits, butter and sugar in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture in two equal portions, and spread it evenly in two individual serving glass, and allow it to set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

How to serve

  1. Just before serving, add ¼ cup of the chopped strawberries, ½ cup of beaten whipped cream and ¼ cup of the strawberry jelly cubes in each glass.
  2. Serve immediately.
