  1. To make soya chunks pulao, clean, wash and soak the rice for 10 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Combine the soya nuggets and salt with 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and cardamom.
  4. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and prepared chilli-garlic paste and sauté till the onions turn golden brown.
  5. Add the turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, tomatoes, rice, green peas, cooked soya nuggets and salt and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  6. Add 1 1/2 cups of hot water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  7. Serve the soya chunks pulao hot.

  3. Clean the rice. You can see the dirt and this will require to change the water 2 to 3 times.
  4. Cleaned rice. Soak the rice for 10 minutes.
  5. Drain.
  6. Soaked and drained brown rice.

  2. Add 1 cup of water. 
  3. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  4. Let the pressure cooker cool and then open the lid.

  13. Add 1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder.
  14. Add 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes.
  15. Add soaked brown rice. 
  16. Add 1/4 cup green peas.
  17. Add cooked soya nuggets.
  18. Add salt to taste. We added 3/4th tsp salt. 
  19. Sauté for another 2 minutes.
  20. Add 1 1/2 cups of hot water.
  21. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  22. Cool and open the lid.
