How to make Chocolate Walnut Fudge

  1. Take a broad non- stick pan and add the condensed milk. Make sure that your pan is not too hot or else the condensed milk will burn from the bottom.
  2. Now add the butter into the pan.
  3. Now add the sugar for the sweetness. You can also use same amount of castor sugar.
  4. Add cocoa powder. This is the key ingredient of our recipe. You can use cocoa powder with 100 % cocoa if you wish to add a little depth to your Chocolate Walnut Fudge.
  5. Now, add the vanilla essence to enhance the flavors of the fudge.
  6. Mix all the ingredients well and cook on a medium flame for about 3 to 4 minutes. Keep stirring continuously to prevent the mixture from becoming lumpy. Remove it from the flame to avoid overcooking. When some about of butter slightly separates from the mixture, it is a sign that your mixture is cooked.
  7. Add the walnuts and mix well. You can dry roast your walnuts before you add them to your Chocolate and Walnut Fudge for a richer flavor.
  8. Grease a 100 mm. × 100 mm. (4” × 4”) square aluminium tin with butter.
  9. Transfer the mixture immediately (while it is hot) into the greased tin and spread it evenly with the help of the back of a spoon. Apply a little water on the spoon. This will prevent the mixture from sticking to the spoon.
  10. Spread it evenly with the help of the back of a spoon. Apply a little water on the spoon. This will prevent the mixture from sticking to the spoon.
  11. Pat the mixture lightly with your hands to smoothen the surface further.
  12. Keep the Chocolate and Walnut Fudge aside to cool down and set for about 30 minutes or till it cools completely and sets.
  13. Demould the Chocolate and Walnut Fudge by loosening the edges with the help of a knife.
  14. Serve the Chocolate and Walnut Fudge immediately. You can also store it in an air tight container at room temperature. Consume within 2 to 3 days.

Hi Mohini, If you found it very sweet, you can omit the sugar, do not reduce anything further as it will get bitter as there is cocoa powder.
