Ingredients


For Chapati Masala Noodles
5 leftover chapatis
1 cup thinly sliced onions
1 cup thinly sliced coloured capsicum
2 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 cup sliced tomatoes
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp black salt (sanchal)
1 tsp garam masala
4 tsp butter
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp lemon juice

Method

For chapati masala noodles

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}chapati masala noodles{/span}, place one roti over the other one by one and roll it up.
  2. Cut into thin noodle strips with a knife. Keep aside.
  3. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Sprinkle a little water to avoid the onions from burning.
  4. Add the capsicum and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder and 2 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the black salt, garam masala and salt mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
  7. Add the chapatti strips, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from the flame, add coriander and squeeze out the lemon, mix gently and serve immediately.
