Ingredients


For Corn and Jalapeno Fondue
1/2 cup boiled and lightly crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
2 tsp finely chopped jalapenos
1 1/2 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp finely chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped coloured capsicum
2 tbsp deseeded and finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup milk
1 cup grated processed cheese
salt to taste
1 tsp fresh cream

For Serving
herb bread
brun bread pieces

Method

For corn and jalapeno fondue

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}corn and jalapeno fondue{/span}, combine the cornflour and 1/4 cup of water in a bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the onions and capsicum and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 1 more minute.
  5. Add the corn, milk, cheese and ¾ cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the cheese melts, while stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the prepared cornflour-water mixture and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  7. Add the salt, cream, jalapeno, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  8. Serve the {span class="bold1"}corn and jalapeno fondue{/span} immediately with herb bread and brun pav pieces.
