Using the dough that was trimmed at step 4 and the edges of the rolled dough after cutting into 9 pieces at step 5, you can make 4 to 6 more crackers. Place them on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes at 160°c (320°f) or until lightly brown and crisp. Cool completely and serve or store in an air-tight container.

1 tbsp low fat curds (dahi)
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

  2. Dust a rolling board with whole wheat flour.
  3. Roll out one portion of the dough into 20 cm ( 7.8 inches) in diameter. 
  4. Prick the dough with a fork all over the dough. This will help when we bake the crackers.
  5. Use a pizza cutter and cut the edges off the dough off and keep aside as we will use it later to make 4 more crackers. We are cutting the edges off so that we get square shaped crackers.
  6. Measure 2 inches with a ruler and make small cutting marks. If you wish you cut the crackers to any shape.
  7. Cut 2 inches horizontally and vertically to make square shapes on the dough. Repeat with the remaining one portion of dough left.
  8. Pre heat an oven. Greae the baking tray with oil.
  9. Place the cut crackers on the baking tray.
  10. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes at 160°c (320°f) or until lightly brown and crisp.
  11. Cool and enjoy your crackers.

I tried this recipe today and it was very tasty. Cumin flavor was indeed very nice. I made a whole batch of this for 2 weeks and can also have it with a dip.
