Ingredients

2 cups shredded cabbage
2 cups apple cubes
2 tbsp chopped celery (ajmoda)
salt to taste

For The Dill Dressing
1 tbsp chopped dill leaves
1/4 cup hung low fat curds (chakka dahi)
2 tsp low fat milk , 99.7% fat-free
1/2 tsp powdered sugar , optional
salt to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well. Refrigerate for atleast 30 minutes.

  1. Place the cabbage and celery in a vesselful of ice-cold water for half an hour. This will make them crisp. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Combine all the ingredients including cabbage and celery along with the dressing, in a deep bowl and toss well.
  3. Serve immediately.

The minute unnecessary sugar salt or or fats is added to salads it becomes unhealthy.How can diabetics or sugar conscious eat this salad?

i make salads using curds, cream but had not tried with dill. really dill imparts and amazing flavour to the dressing.
