How to make Guava Chutney-
To make Guava chutney, Amrood Chutney, Spicy Peru Chutney, take 3 medium sized Guava, wash them very well. Guava should be washed thoroughly as they tend to collect dirt.

Peel the guava.

Put the washed and peeled guava on a chopping board and chop them roughly.

Transfer it to a bowl and keep aside. 3 medium sized guava would give you 1 and a ½ cup approximately

Rinse the mint and remove the leaves from the stem. Use fresh mint leaves so that it doesn’t turn black and fresh leaves would give a better taste.

Wash and Chop the mint leaves, keep aside. Mint leaves are considered an aid to the digestive system. It is an appetite stimulant and aids in the secretion of gastric juices. Mint would uplift the taste of the dish.

Take an inch of ginger, wash it.

Peel the ginger and roughly chop it.

Take a grinder, add the chopped guava to it. Guava is a diabetic friendly fruit.

Add the roughly ¼ cup of chopped mint leaves.

Add ½ tsp of ginger.

Add sugar.

Add green chillies. Green chillies would be it spicy, you can add green chillies according to your taste.

Add ½ tsp of cumin seeds.

Add lemon juice, the lemon juice and sugar in the chutney would give the Guava chutney a sweet and sour taste.

Add Salt to taste.

Add 3 tbsp of water.

Blend Guava Chutney until smooth.

Transfer the Guava Chutney in a bowl and it is ready to serve. You can also store the Guava Chutney in a air tight container in the refrigerator.
