Ingredients


For Mysore Bonda
3/4 cup curd (dahi)
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp finely chopped ginger (adrak)
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 tsp baking soda
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying

For Serving With Mysore Bonda
coconut chutney
green chutney

Method

For mysore bonda

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}mysore bonda{/span}, combine the curds and ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and whisk well.
  2. Combine all the ingredients, including the curd-water mixture in a deep bowl and mix very well using your hands.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, take a small portion of the batter with your fingers and deep-fry, a few at a time, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  4. Serve the {span class="bold1"}mysore bonda{/span} immediately with coconut chutney or green chutney.
