For instant rice dhokla

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}instant rice dhokla{/span}, in a mixer jar add cooked rice, besan and curd. Blend till smooth.
  2. Transfer into a deep bowl and add semolina, prepared tempering, ginger-green chili paste, powdered sugar, coriander and salt to taste and mix well.
  3. Just before steaming, add the fruit salt to the batter and 1/2 cup water over it, mix gently.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 175 mm. (7”) diameter thali and steam in a steamer for 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle chilli powder and pepper powder evenly over it.
  6. Remove and keep aside to cool slightly, then cut into wedges.
  7. Serve the {span class="bold1"}instant rice dhokla{/span} immediately with green chutney.
