Ingredients

2 cups coarsely crushed walnuts (akhrot)
4 tbsp melted ghee
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
Method

  1. To make walnut sheera, heat the ghee in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the walnuts, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the milk and sugar, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 5 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Switch off the flame, add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Serve the walnut sheera warm.

This is one of the best tasting halwas I have had and super simple as well.... just a little doubt, can I store and refrigerate this? If yes, how many days? Please inform.

Loved this sweet... The walnuts are not too powdered and just enough coarse to give a good crunch and mouth feel. The quantity of sugar is perfect and of course the cardamom powder shouldn''t be missed out on as it is a taste enhancer.
