Ingredients


For Aloo Palak Roti
1 cup boiled , peeled and mashed potatoes
1 cup finely chopped spinach (palak)
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
salt to taste
4 tbsp fresh curd (dahi)
1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp peanut oil
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
12 tsp peanut oil for cooking

Method

For aloo palak roti

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}aloo palak roti{/span}, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and make a soft smooth dough using water.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
  3. Roll out each portion of the dough into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle with the help of a little whole wheat flour.
  4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the roti using 1 tsp of oil , till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  5. Repeat with the remaining dough to make 11 more rotis.
  6. Serve the {span class="bold1"}aloo palak roti{/span} hot with curds and pickle of your choice.
