For anjeer and mixed nut barfi

    For anjeer and mixed nut barfi
  1. To make anjeer and mixed nut barfi, soak the dried figs in enough hot water in a bowl for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain well and blend in a mixer to a smooth mixture without using any water. Keep aside.
  3. Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the dried fig mixture, walnuts, almonds, pistachios and sesame seeds, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  4. Switch off the flame, add the saffron-milk mixture and cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture onto a greased plate and spread it evenly using a flat spoon.
  6. Cool slightly and cut into 9 equal square-shaped pieces.
  7. Cool the anjeer and mixed nut barfi completely and serve or store refrigerated till serving.

Made it, turned out well. Not firm, but tasting very good. I added a few dates to this too. Easy and good.

A barfi in 1 minute of cooking was a huge surprise to me. But it tastes awesome....this iron rich treat is best for kids and pregnant ladies.
