Ingredients


For Minty Jaljeera
1/2 cup mint leaves (pudina) , torn into pieces
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera)
1 1/2 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
2 tsp black salt (sanchal)
2 tsp salt
5 to 6 ice-cubes

For The Garnish
4 tbsp boondi

Method

For minty jaljeera

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}minty jaljeera{/span}, combine the mint leaves, coriander, lemon juice, sugar, ginger, cumin seeds, dried mango pwder, black salt, salt and ¼ cup of water in a mixer and blend till smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture very well using a strainer.
  3. Add 3¾ cups of chilled water and ice-cubes and mix well.
  4. Pour equal quantities of the minty jaljeera into 4 individual glasses.
  5. Serve the {span class="bold1"}minty jaljeera{/span} chilled garnished with 1 tbsp of boondi in each glass.
