1/2 cup boiled and mashed mixed sprouts (matki , moong , chana , etc) , refer handy tip
1 cup bajra (black millet) flour
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
salt to taste
bajra (black millet) flour for rolling
1 1/2 tsp oil for cooking

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough warm water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
  3. Roll out a portion of the dough into a 125 mm. (5") diameter circle using a little bajra flour for rolling.
  4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the roti, on a medium flame, using ¼ tsp of oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make 5 more rotis.
  6. Serve immediately.

  1. The mixed sprouts used in this recipe should be mashed very well, else rolling these rotis becomes difficult.
