Keep aside.Heat the oil and ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, black cardamom, cinnamon and star anise. Mix well.Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till the onions turn light golden brown in colour.Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and sauté on a medium flame for another 1 minute.Add the tomatoes and sauté again for 2 minutes. Add curd, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, biryani masala, fried onions, mint leaves and coriander.Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.Add the rice, fried paneer, salt to taste and 2 cups of hot water.
