  1. Clean, wash and soak the masoor dal for about 15 minutes. Drain well and keep aside.
  2. Combine the masoor dal, turmeric powder and 1 cup of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  3. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Remove, whisk the dal well and keep aside.
  4. Heat a deep non-stick pan on a medium flame and when hot, add the cumin seeds and dry roast for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the curry leaves, garlic, green chillies, onions and dry roast on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  6. Add the cooked dal, dill leaves, salt and 1½ cups of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot.

This zero oil recipe with a combo of masoor dal and dill leaves makes it so healthy and just perfect in taste. I make this for lunch along with a subzi and roti and it is so filling.
