Tweet Recipe Description for Spinach and Carrot Soup Preparation Time: 5 minsCooking Time: 15 mins Makes 4 servings Show me for servings Ingredients 2 cups chopped spinach (palak)1/2 cup chopped and parboiled carrot1 tsp butter1/4 cup finely chopped onions1 1/2 cups milk salt and to taste2 tbsp wheat germFor Serving bread sticks / croutons Method Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes or till the onions turn translucent.Add the carrots and sauté on a medium flame for another 2 minutes.Add the spinach and 1 cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame 1 to 2 minutes.Add the milk, salt, pepper and wheat germ, mix well and cook on a medium flame another 4 to 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside to cool slightly.When cool, blend in a mixer to a smooth purée.Transfer the purée into a broad non-stick pan and bring to boil.Serve hot with bread sticks or croutons.
