Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 cup (approx.14 tbsp)

Ingredients

1/4 cup flax seeds (alsi)
1/4 cup black sesame seeds (kala til)
1/4 cup white sesame seeds (til)
1/4 cup fennel seeds (saunf)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp powdered sugar (optional)

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, add the lemon juice and salt and mix well. Cover and keep aside for 1 hour.
  2. Dry roast it on a broad non-stick pan for 2 to 3 minutes till it starts giving a good aroma.
  3. Cool slightly, add the sugar and mix well.
  4. Cool completely and store in an air-tight container.

How wonderful! Never thought of combining lemon juice and salt with the fennel seeds. Flax seeds and sesame enrich this mouth freshener with healthy fats and fibre. Awesome recipe. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for posting. God bless you.

We always opt for those sugar coated fennel seeds...but aft trying this recipe...You wont feel like going for sugary mukwas...just soo simple to make, tasty and YES...HEALTHY!!
