Potato Bajra Pancake Video by Tarla Dalal. Here is a delicious, tummy-friendly pancake made of grated potatoes and bajra flour, perked up with onions, coriander and other lovely ingredients. Interestingly, this combination of ingredients also works against the tummy acids, keeping them under control.

Ingredients


For Potato Bajra Pancake
1/2 cup peeled and grated raw potatoes
3 tbsp bajra (black millet) flour
3 tbsp finely chopped onions
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
salt to taste
1 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

Method

For potato bajra pancake

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}potato bajra pancake{/span}, combine all the ingredients with approx. 5 tbsp of water in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Heat a mini uttapa pan and grease it lightly using ½ tsp of oil.
  3. Pour a spoonful of the batter in each of the 7 uttapa moulds and spread it lightly using the back of a spoon to make a 75 mm. (3") diameter round.
  4. Cook them, on a slow flame using ½ tsp of oil, till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  5. Serve the {span class="bold1"}potato bajra pancake{/span} immediately.

Handy tip:

  1. Potatoes can also be replaced by grated carrot.
